Hi and welcome to my food styling website. I have been doing food styling for print, video and live audiences for over 20 years. My first styled photo to appear in print was in Pasadena Magazine. This was back in 1989...we used lots of props back then. Today it's all about the food, simple and close up. My love of cooking and food presentation (and my love of collecting cool props) are some of the reasons I started my catering business back in 1995. I was also a media stylist for cookbook authors and celebrities on cookbook tours until 2005. The job required making the food, client and the stage set all look great. It was live TV and fast paced with no room for error. Sounds kind of stressful, but actually it was a lot of fun! I had the opportunity to work with many interesting personalities such as Molly Katzen, Steven Raichlen and Richard Simmons. Following this, I was the in-house food stylist at Viking Range Cooking School and styled the food for many videos in their beautiful theater kitchen. This experience has served me well, so when we moved to Vermont I was very fortunate to be hired by EatingWell Magazine to work as a food stylist. I've done print, video food styling and recipe testing for EatingWell. I also test recipes for Healthy Seasonal Recipes, Katie Webster's blog. I've worked on several videos with Katie (aka the talent)and have recently done catalogue and web food styling for King Arthur Flour. My most recent video was with Rightside Productions; a training video for Bruegger's Bagels.
